iOS 10, makes it a lot easier for you, if you want to remove any kind of built in application from your iPhone, iPad or iPod. Now you can easily delete the applications, which are not in your use. This way you can clear some memory from your phone and keep it organized.


There are a lot of built in application, which you can completely wipe off from your iPhone, iPad or iPod. These include Weather, Watch app (you will have to un-pair your Apple Watch before deleting it), Voice Memos, Video, Tips, Stocks, Reminders, Podcasts, Notes, News, Music (if you removed it, you will not be use CarPlay), Maps, Mail, iTunes Store, iCloud Drive, iBook, Home, Find My Friends, FaceTime, Contact (iPhone only, contact information will be in the Phone app), Compass, Calendar and Calculator.


How to remove a built in application?


You can remove a built in application from your home screen too, much like other applications. Follow these steps, if you want to get rid of any built in application.


Click on the application or the folder from where you want to remove this application.

Then click on it, and keep pressing it unless the application starts to jigle.

Press the small x icon which emerge on the top left of that application.

Click Remove, so you can wipe it off and free some space.


How to remove application, when no X appear when the application in jiggling?


For some of the applications, Apple does not allow you to remove them easily. But if are insisting on removing it. and when you click on the application and no “x” emerges than what to do? Is there still any way to wipe the application from your home screen’s surface? Yes, you can wipe this application off, from the table.

Here is how.


Navigate yourself to “settings” > Click on “General” > Click “Restrictions” and then you will be asked for your security code, enter security passcode > Switch off the application which you are interested to remove.

Now go back to the home screen, you will see that the application, which you were trying to remove is no more on your home screen.

Navigate yourself to “Settings” on your IPod, iPad or iPhone.

After that click “General” and chose the “Usage” option underneath it.

Now you should click the “Show all Apps” icon, so that you can see all the applications on your home screen, which were hidden.

From the list, chose the application which you wanted to remove, and then click on “Delete App” icon.

Now a warning message or pop message will appear on your screen, ask for your permission to remove the application. Just click the “Delete Application” to remove that application from your device.

Now go back to the home scree. The application will be disappeared from you home screen. And you have freed some space too.
