The much awaited iOS 10 is finally here along with a variety of impressive features. The all new lock screen behavior is a perfect example to prove the above-mentioned fact. Should you really upgrade to iOS 10 and experience these new features? Should you purchase a new iPhone 7 with the iOS 10? Or is it better to keep your old iPhone without upgrading to iOS 10?Here is a list of pros and cons of this operating system. Who should upgrade to iOS 10 now?


If you are using an Apple Watch, it would be a good move to upgrade to iOS 10. In fact, if you want to upgrade your watch to watchOS 3, you should first upgrade your device to iOS 10. The watchOS 3 comes along with a variety of impressive features. For example, you will gain access to a brand new app called Breathe, which would prompt you to take long deep breathing breaks throughout the working day. This can help you to ensure proper health.


If you don’t have enough free space within your iPhone or iPad, you can think of upgrading to iOS 10. That’s because this new operating system will assist you to free up a little more space. On the other hand, people who hate having folders full of apps in their devices can think of downloading the iOS 10. This new upgrade will give you the chance to delete the folders that you don’t want to keep in your devices. The Taping X icon looks promising and it will assist you to save few additional megabytes.


Who should not upgrade to iOS 10 now?


Even though iOS 10 has gone through months of beta testing, you can still find some issues that need to be fixed in the version 10.0.1. For example, if you are a person who uses Maps on a daily basis, it is better not to upgrade to iOS 10. That’s because the Maps crash sometimes and you will have to restart the app. Just imagine the hassle that you will have to go through when it crashes when you are in the middle of a trip.


Smart home owners are also encouraged to wait a couple of months instead of upgrading to iOS 10. That’s because some of the smart home systems would not work seamlessly with this new operating system. If you really want to upgrade, it is better to check with your manufacturer and see whether there are any known issues. Even though the iOS 10 OS is compatible with iPhone 5 and iPhone 5C, you should think twice before you upgrade because the A6 chip is not in a position to handle this new OS. As a result, you will have to experience frequent crashes and reduced battery life.


However, most of these issues will be fixed in upcoming months and you will then be able to upgrade to iOS 10 with a hassle free mind.
