How to Transfer PowerPoint to iPad/iPhone

Thanks to the high-resolution screen, iPad is very convenient to view or edit presentation documents. In this article, I will show you two top ways to transfer PowerPoint to iPad step by step and mention a few other methods.

Method 1: Transfer PowerPoint to iPad without iTunes

Do you know that you can copy PowerPoint or other Office documents to your iOS device without USB cable? All you need is iPhone transfer software IOTransfer. You can follow the steps below to get this done easily.

Step 1. Download and install IOTransfer software on your Windows PC.

Step 2. Use your iPad to download the AirTrans app from AppStore.

Step 3. On your PC, open IOTransfer and go to the AirTrans section. Then click on the Start Transfer to get started.

Step 4. Wait for the program to detect your iPad or use your iPhone to scan the QR code to connect your iPad and PC via Wi-Fi.

Step 5. Click Send to iPhone to select the PowerPoint files and click OK to transferring files to iPad over Wi-Fi. 

When the file is transferred, you use the AirTrans app to view the powerpoint, which means you do not have to install the Microsoft PowerPoint app in order to view this file. If you want to edit it, you just tap Share and select Copy to PowerPoint or Keynote.

Method 2: Transfer Presentation to iPad using iTunes File Sharing

If you like to use iTunes, then you can also use the iTunes File Sharing feature to transfer office file to your iPad or iPhone. As you probably know, iTunes also has Wi-Fi Sync feature, so you can also use iTunes to transfer documents to iPhone or iPad wirelessly.

If the Wi-Fi Sync is not enabled, you need to connect your iPad/iPhone to PC via lightning cable to enable it. after that, you can transfer files without being plugged in.

Step 1. Open iTunes, click on the iPad icon. If you want to transfer PowerPoint to iPhone, then it’s the iPhone icon.

Step 2. Click on File Sharing and select PowerPoint app or Keynote. Both can view and edit PPT files.

Step 3. Select the PowerPoint file on your computer and click Save documents on iPad.

After that, you can open the PowerPoint app on your iPad to view this PPT document.

Other methods

There are also other methods to transfer presentation file to iPad. If you only a few PowerPoint files to transfer, you can simply attach the files in an email and send it to your iPhone.

If you use cloud drives, you can upload the presentation files to a cloud drive. If you only use iCloud, you can log in to iCloud from iCloud.com or use the iCloud for Windows app to upload documents to iCloud.

If you prefer using other cloud drives, you can use the Files app on your iPad to view the presentation files on your iPad after uploading them to a cloud drive.
