Transfer EBook to iPad - Download Free EBooks and PDF to iPad

iBooks is a pre-installed App on an iPad/iPhone. If you don't have this app, you can download it from App Store. With the combination of Retina Display screen and a wide selection of eBooks, iBooks is a popular e-reader among iOS users. Besides purchase the eBooks from the built-in bookstore, you can also transfer the available eBooks to iPad, so you can read them with iBooks. iBooks only supports PDF and ePub files, just ensure your eBooks are in these two formats.

You can transfer the eBooks to your iPad with iTunes, iCloud and third-party apps without iTunes. In this article, you can get step-by-step instructions on how to transfer eBooks to iPad with different tools.

Transfer EBooks to iPad with iTunes

Step 1: Connect your iPad to PC with a USB cable.

Step 2: Launch iTunes if it doesn't run automatically.

If you haven't installed it yet, please go to App Store to download and install it.

Step 3: After sync your iPad with iTunes on your PC, the iPad icon on the upper part and open the iPad Summary

Step 4: Find Books on the left pane and click the Sync button at the lower right corner to begin the transfer process.

Step 5: Open iBooks on your iPad, you will find the books in the My Books tab.

Note: iTunes can only sync the eBooks which are downloaded or purchased from iBooks. That's to say, if you downloaded eBooks from other source, then you will still need another third-party tool.

Transfer EBooks to iPad with iCloud

For those eBooks which were downloaded from iBooks Store, there is another quick way to save them to your iPad- iCloud. All the eBooks are stored in your iCould account, so you just need to log in the same Apple ID, then download and save eBooks on your iPad.

Step 1: Open the pre-installed iBooks app on your iPad. If you don't have it, you can download it from App Store.

Step 2: Go to My Books tab in the bottom left, you will find the books list which contains all the books you've purchased or downloaded from iBooks.

Step 3: Click the cloud icon in the upper right corner of each book to begin downloading them.

Note: The time of download depends on how long the book is, how many images it has, how fast your internet speed is and some other related factors. When the download process completes, the book will open automatically.

Transfer EBooks to iPad with IOTransfer

Step 4: Unlock your iPad, open iBooks, go to My Books tab, find the transferred books there and enjoy reading them.

(This instructions also apply to transfer eBooks to iPhone.)
