5 iOS 12 Updating Problems and Quick Fixes

After the release of iOS 12 at September 17, following the iPhone Xs launch event, so many people have tried to install it on iPhone or iPad to enjoy the iOS 12 new features like Group FaceTime, new Memoji, Measure app and Screen Time feature on settings. Unable to Check for Update is the most common problem arising almost every release of Apple iOS software update. When users check the new update, a message will pop up and saying “Unable to Check for Update, An error occurred while checking for a software update”.

4. Try getting the update using iTunes

This issue is just like the above, arising almost every release of Apple iOS software update. It pops up an error saying “Software Update Failed, An error occurred downloading iOS 12”.

Potential fixes:

1. Restart your iOS devise just like the above.

2. Tap the “Close” in the pop-up, wait a few minutes, and then try again.

3. Check network or reset it.

This issue has happened in updating iOS 11 before and now it happens again in updating iOS 12. Generally, Verifying update processing just need to take a few minutes, but sometimes, it may take hours or stuck on the “Verifying update…”forever.

1. Lock and wake your iOS devise by power button for 5 to 10 times.

2. Restart your iPhone.

3. Update to iOS 12 with iTunes.

1. Turn off Setting app or restart your iPhone, then try it again in a few minutes.
