Method 1 Transfer Ringtones to iPhone via iTunes 12.7 or the Later Version

In fact, you only need to do some slight changes when transferring ringtones via iTunes 12.7. Follow the steps below to learn how to get it done.

1.       Download a ringtone in .m4r. If it’s in .mp3 or other audio formats, use a video converter to convert it to .m4r or it won’t be recognized by the iPhone.

2.       Connect the iPhone to your computer and launch iTunes.

3.       After the device is detected, click on the iPhone icon on the upper left.

4.       If the sidebar is not displayed, click on “View” and then “Show Sidebar”. Skip this step if the sidebar is present.

5.       In the sidebar, click on “Tones”. Drop the .m4r file onto the given area. If the “Tones” is not there in the sidebar, drag the m4r file onto “On My Device” where the “Tones” tag will appear.

6.       It will be automatically transferred to your iPhone once you drop the .m4r file.

Transfer Ringtones from Computer to iPhone within 3 Steps

Step 1

Install and launch AirTrans, connect your iPhone to the computer and wait until the device’s detected. Scroll up to the category menu.

Click on Audio → Ringtones → click to add new content. Select the music you want to transfer to iPhone as the ringtone. When the notification “Do you want to change import setting for the ringtones” pops up, click on “Yes” to continue. Then, preset the length and a start point for the ringtone.
