If you are in a hurry to get apps when you are facing the same issue, just try to download apps without App Store.

Method 1. Check Your Internet Connection

You may be informed “Cannot Connect to App Store” on the screen if you have not connected your iPhone or iPad to a stable Internet connection. Make sure that your Wi-Fi or Cellular Data works well. Here you can reconnect the Internet or Reset Network Settings to fix App Store not working on iOS 12.

When apps won’t be downloaded in iOS 12, checking the Internet connection can be an effective way to fix it.

1. Reconnect the Internet to Fix App Store not Working on iOS 12

If you are using the Cellular Data connection, just go to “Settings” > “Cellular” > turn off “Cellular Data”. Then wait for a few minutes and switch on it again. Similarly, if you connect your iOS device to a Wi-Fi connection, go to “Settings” > “WLAN” to reconnect it. Also, you can check whether your wireless router is connected to the Internet or not.

2. Reset Network Settings to Fix App Store not Working on iOS 12

You must ensure that there is a proper Internet connection established on your iPhone or iPad. Simply go to “Settings” > “General” > “Reset” > “Reset Network Settings”. You need to remember that this method will delete all network settings, such as Wi-Fi networks, passwords, cellular settings, etc.

Resetting your Network Settings can also works with other issues properly, like No Service on iPhone XS After iOS 12 Update, iPhone Email Loads Slowly in iOS 12, etc.

Method 2. Sign out Your Apple ID and Sign in Again

If there is something wrong with your Apple ID or if you login an inaccurate account, you may fail to connect to App Store. Try to sign out and then sign in your Apple ID to fix this issue.

Step 1. Open Settings app on your iPhone or iPad and click your profile name.

Step 2. Go to “iTunes & App Store” > “Apple ID: XXX” > “Sign Out”. Then you can enter your account and password to sign in again after several minutes.

Method 3. Restart Your iPhone or iPad

To fix App Store not working on iOS 12, you can try to restart your iOS device. Press and hold the power button until you see a popup message saying “Slide to Power Off”. Drag the slider from left to right to turn off your iPhone or iPad. Then press and hold the power button to restart it.

Method 4. Free Up More Storage Space for iPhone or iPad

Does your device receive a low-memory warning from the system? In general, the low memory mode will always prevent you from installing new apps on your iOS device. If you can’t connect to the App Store or failed to update and download apps on iPhone/iPad, try to check whether your device has enough memory for the apps you are going to download.
