I have downloaded a few so-called ringtone maker apps from AppStore, but only to find none of them actually work. They simply tell me to use iTunes. If you are looking for a way to create or download ringtones straight to iPhone without computer, you have come to the right place.

In this article, I will show you how to set any song as your ringtone on iPhone. If your desired ringtone music is not on your iPhone already, no worries because I will also show you how to download any music on your iOS device without PC.

How to Add Ringtone to iPhone without Computer

In order to set your own downloaded music as custom ringtone on iPhone, you only need to download the GarageBand app, which is developed by Apple. GarageBand is an app, available both on iOS and OSX, used for sound and audio editing.

Previously, GarageBand is a 5 dollar paid app, but now it is totally free to download from AppStore. After installing GarageBand, you can follow the steps to get started.

Step 1. Launch GarageBand. Tap on the “+” icon and choose Audio Recorder.

iOS 12 Shortcuts app allows you to automate many tasks that you do including downloading music online. I have prepared a free music downloader shortcut called Deezer Downloader. You can open this link in Safari to get this shortcut.

After that, you can open the Shortcuts app and run this shortcut. Then type the song name or artist that you want to download. It will return several results, just select the one you want to download. Then it asks if you want to force the audio format to M4A or leave it as is.
