• Add New Contacts on iPhone

Step 1: Open Contacts app on your iPhone.
Step 2: Hit the “+” button which is in the top-right corner of the screen.
Step 3: Type the new contact’s basic information in custom fields including first name, last name and company.
Step 4: Tap “add phone” and fill in the new contact’s numbers. Apart from names, company and phone numbers which are the major information of a contact, you are allowed to insert other information into the contacts field like email, address, birthday etc.
Step 5: Add a photo to the contact. It will show on the screen when the contact is calling.
Step 6: Click “Done” in the right corner of the screen. Then the contact will be successfully created.

 

• Edit iPhone Contacts

Step 1: Open Contacts app on your iPhone and select a current contact you want to edit.
Step 2: Tap “Edit” on the top-right corner and all the fields will become editable. Then you can add any information to the fields. Click “Done” once finishing the editing.

Step 1: Open Contacts and tap the contact that you want to delete.
Step 2: Tap “Edit” on the right-corner of the screen.
Step 3: Scroll Down and tap Delete Contact.
*Note that you can only delete contacts one by one in the Contacts app.

• Add New Contacts on iPhone

Step 1: Go to MANAGE > Contacts, and tap “+New” button.

Step 2: Type in the basic information of the contact. Here you can fill in First Name, Last Name, Company, Phone Numbers, Email address and notes for contacts. Clicks “save”, and then the new contact is right in your iPhone.

Backup & Restore iPhone Contacts with iTunes

As original iPhone content manager, iTunes allows you to backup contents from iPhone to PC. Although many users feel iTunes is so confusing and complicated to use, it is always a feasible way to backup/restore iPhone contacts.

Backup iPhone Contacts via iTunes:

Step 1: Download and install iTunes from Apple.com
Step 2: Connect your iPhone to PC and launch iTunes. (You need to tap “Trust” and type in the password on your iPhone if you haven’t backed up with iTunes on the computer before.)
Step 3: Click the small iPhone icon above the left menu and click “Back Up Now” in “Summary” section.

Note: When your iPhone contacts are backed up to PC with iTunes, other data like photos, music, videos and others are backed up to PC along with contacts. There is no way for you to choose the backup specific items on your iPhone with iTunes.

 


 

Restore iPhone Contacts via iTunes:

Step 1: Launch iTunes and connect your iPhone to the computer.
Step 2: Right-click your iPhone under the Devices list and click "Restore Backup".
Step 3: Select the latest backup entry appearing under the most recent date and click "Restore".

Note: Restore iPhone contacts from iTunes backup will erase all media tracks currently existing on your iPhone with the contents from the iOS backup files.

Compared to iTunes, iCloud is considered as an easier way to back up your iPhone contacts. Its automatic wireless sync feature has won more users than iTunes. Let’s see how to backup and restore iPhone contacts with iCloud.

Backup iPhone Contacts via iCloud:

Step 1: Make sure the iPhone is connected to Wi-Fi and then tap the Settings App.
Step 2: Tap on your name at the top of the screen.
Step 3: If the toggle to the right of Contacts is not green, then turn it on. (From now on, the Contacts on your iPhone will be backed up to iCloud anytime and anywhere when connected to Wi-Fi.)

 

Restore iPhone Contacts via iCloud:

Step 1: Go to Settings on iCloud.com, click Restore Contacts in the Advanced section.

Note: Wait until iCloud finishes restoring your contacts before you change them. While it’s restoring them, any changes you make aren’t saved.
