This article comes in handy for those who are new to Apple devices. Let’s see what all things you should keep in mind before/during/after upgrading iOS on your Your iPhone/iPad/iPod touch.

Before Upgrading to Latest iOS

You may feel uber-exctited every time when you see an available update for iOS9. Upgrading to a new version is pretty simple. You can do it either wireless or using iTunes. However, to save you from failure errors, it is recommended to note these few things before installing a latest version of iOS9.

Check Compatibility

This is the first thing you need to check online. When you hear the news that there is a new version of iOS released, go to Apple’s official website and check iO9 Supportable Devices List. Considering the fact that latest version of iOS 9 runs smooth in new devices and will be most compatible for new hardware, people who own older devices may check user feedbacks online before updating.

In case your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch isn’t listed above, it means your device isn’t compatible with the latest version of iOS9.

Free Up Space on Your iPhone/iPad/iPod touch

This is an important thing you need to make sure before upgrading.  You need to make sure your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch has at least 1.3GB of free space and is charged well over 50%.

Back Up Your iPhone/iPad/iPod touch

Yes, you cannot take risk. There are many cases when people lose their important files during iOS upgrade. So, it is always a good idea to back up your files before every single iOS update. You can follow any of these 3 methods to backup your iPhone/iPad/iPod touch:
