Previously we’ve discussed the two methods to upgrade iOS. In this article, we will discuss some of common problems that may arise while installing iOS 9 and how to fix them accordingly.

Software Update Failed Error Messages When Downloading iOS 9/9.2/9.2.1/9.3/9.3.2

This is a common issue that you experience if you try to upgrade to iOS 9 on the very first day you get update notice. There are cases when users had to wait for long hours to finish downloading and end up with a software update failed error message.

We recommend you to wait for one two days to download new iOS because within these two days developers can fix initial download server problems/bugs that weren't noticed in the beta version.

Stuck on Apple Logo During iOS 9/9.2/9.2.1/9.3/9.3.2 Update

Step 1:

Put your device through a hard reboot cycle by pressing and holding down the Home and Power button together for a period of approximately six to seven seconds.  Wait for the device to shut down and then automatically power back on. Let go off the buttons when you see the Apple logo and wait for the device to finish booting. If your device is still stuck on the Apple logo, proceed with Step 2.

Before we continue to step 2, it’s important to have a backup of your iPhone in iCloud or iTunes, because if you don’t, you won’t be able to retrieve your data.

Step2:

Plug your iPhone to computer via the USB cable and make sure that the latest iTunes is installed.

NB: Defective USB cables and USB ports on PCs and Macs can mess up the data transfer process and corrupt your iPhone’s software. Considering the current scenario, make sure to you use a good USB cable and a better USB port. If you aren’t sure about USB ports in your PC, check it using the device manager and connect plug your iPhone to computer via the USB cable.

Step 3.

Press and hold down Home and Power button together for a period of approximately six to seven seconds. Then release the power button but keep pressing the home button.

Step 4.

You can view the Connect to iTunes screen and now you may let go of the Home button.

Step 5.

Restore your iPhone with iTunes.

This is the simplest way to fix the iPhone stuck at Apple Logo issue. You should keep in mind that this method is only applicable when you have a full backup of your iPhone/iPad. So we highly recommend our readers to keep the backup copy of their device. You can use IOtransfer as an alternative for iTunes to backup/restore your content in a PC/Mac.

We hope this article will help you in case your device run into stuck at apple logo issue or if you get a download error message. Once you finish downloading, update the iOS on your device and read the things to do after you updating your device to iOS 9.
