Shortcuts is the updated version of Workflow, the iOS automation app. If you already got the Workflow app, you can still use it without issues. If you then install the Shortcuts app, it will actually replace the Workflow app.

As you know, Shortcuts has more new actions available and it can with more third-party apps. Shortcuts supports Homekit, so you can use Shortcuts to control Homekit devices. However, some actions are not available even though they are in Workflow.
