Place App Icon Anywhere on iPhone Screen without Jailbreaking

Every phone owner would definitely want to customize their phone to look just the way they want. And this is not even about the external accessories of the phone or how beautiful or stylish the phone looks. Without jailbreaking, however, you can have a completely empty space but that's all you can do basically.

Every phone owner would definitely want to customize their phone to look just the way they want and this is not even about the external accessories of the phone or how beautiful or stylish the phone looks. This is about how the phone's user interface looks including how the apps are arranged on the phone's home screen. You can rearrange app icons anyhow on the home screen but Apple technically does not allow you place them wherever you want. This means there will be no empty space in between your apps. Without jailbreaking, however, you can have a completely empty space but that's all you can do basically.

With app developers creating useful apps with which you can use to place app icons anywhere on your home screen, customizing the layout of your app's home screen is now very possible with only a few steps. As long as you use an iPhone 5 or higher, these steps will work for you.

1.         Navigate to MAKEOVER

The service with which you effect the settings is known as MAKEOVER so with the Safari browser on your iPhone, log on to makovr.ir to get started. Your phone has to be iPhone 5 or higher and must be running on iOS 8 or higher. This step does not work on iPad and iPod touch however.

2.         Select the wallpaper you would like to use

The instructions on the website are quite easy to follow and the first thing you need to do once you are on the website is to select either your own wallpaper or choose one on the website. There is a slightly different method of choosing your wallpaper depending on the process that you choose.

- If you are choosing your own wallpaper image, apply it to your iPhone home screen first. Tap and hold any app to get into edit mode, swipe to an empty, new home screen and take a screenshot using the power button + home button.

- If you wish to make use of a wallpaper on MAKEOVER, select on from the website, save the image and apply it to your home scree. Make sure "Perspective Zoom" is turned off while doing this.

3.         Get Placeholders

After you have uploaded your desired image, the application will do its own work of creating cutouts of your wallpaper which serve as placeholder icons that cannot be seen. It is these pieces that you will make use of reformatting your layout and create spaces in between your apps.

If there is a particular piece you would like to export, tap on it till it gets outlined and then tap on the share icon. You will see the option "add to home screen", choose the option. You will get a prompt asking if you want to label the icon; simply skip that and tap on "Done".

Drag the placeholder icon to anywhere that you want on your screen to enable the effect you want to make happen. Be as creative as you can and want.

If you would like to get rid of the placeholder icons, simply delete them the way you would delete an app. This is way much easier than other tools which had their own clumsiness to be dealt with. So with the steps mentioned above, you can place app icon anywhere on home screen.
